That would have been a perfectly justified shot, right? Provided it's even a gun shot wound (from the solldiers--because who knows how many millions of Bangkokians are so pissed off at the UDD right now) to begin with.
Seizing the tank does not justify murder.
Pissing off at UDD does not justify murder.
Being pissed off at anyone should never justify murder.
Seizing a tank definitely does not justify murder.
But self defense does.
Can you tell me with a straight face that if someone walks up to your car, yank the door open, and try to pull you out, that you wouldn't shoot him if you have a gun?
People go through emotional stress. When you are fatigued, and there is a crazy mob mentality going on, people are bound to make the wrong judgment.
But the simple truth comes down to the fact that if you put this case up against any court in the world, they will tell you that the shooting is perfectly acceptable.
In the case of red shirt attacking normal citizen, yes self defense does apply. In the case of military? No. The military is armed with tools to disperse crowd.
KILLING BY MILITARY IS NEVER JUSTIFIED.
